This course will equip students with the necessary skills to create, design, and manage their own web applications. Modules: Module 1: HTML & CSS Learn the basics of HTML to create structured web pages. Delve into CSS to style and lay out your web pages professionally. Module 2: JavaScript Understand the core concepts of JavaScript to make your web pages interactive. Explore the DOM, events, and real-world projects to grasp the power of JavaScript in web development. Module 3: Advanced JavaScript and Canvas Delve deeper into JavaScript exploring advanced concepts, object-oriented programming, and the Canvas API for drawing and animations. Module 4: Database Programming Get introduced to databases, learn the basics of SQL, and understand how to interact with a database using programming. Add-ons: - Cyber Security: Understand the importance of security in web development, covering topics like data policies, privacy, and cryptography. - Networking: Learn the basics of computer networks, the internet, HTTP, and DNS to better understand how web apps operate. - Project Work: Engage in projects throughout the course including creating a personal webpage, a multi-page styled webpage, and interactive games like the Buried Treasure Game and Snake Game. - Capstone Project: Conceive, develop, and present a personal website, hosted on our server, showcasing all the skills acquired throughout the course. Outcome: Upon completion, students will have a solid foundation in web app development, a portfolio of projects, and the confidence to tackle more advanced topics in web development and computer science.
