Scratch Programming for Game Development

In this 10-day workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of game development using Scratch, a block-based programming language designed for kids. Students will explore game design principles and learn how to create their own interactive stories, animations, and games using Scratch. The workshop will cover topics such as sprites, backgrounds, variables, conditional statements, and loops. By the end of the workshop, students will have developed their own custom games and will have the opportunity to share and play each other's creations.

Requirements:

• Students must have access to a computer or laptop with internet connectivity

• No prior coding experience is required

Eligibility:

• This workshop is for seniors grade 6-8
