Scratch Programming Basics: Building Your First Game

This workshop is designed for kids who are interested in learning how to code for the first time. Scratch is a visual programming language that allows kids to create their own interactive stories, games, and animations.

During this workshop, kids will learn the basics of Scratch programming, including how to use different programming blocks to create animations and games. They will also learn how to design their own characters and backgrounds, as well as how to add sound and music to their projects.

Requirements: No prior coding experience is required for this workshop. Kids should bring their own laptops or tablets, as well as a charger. All necessary software and tools will be provided.

Eligibility Criteria: This workshop is open to kids aged 6-11 years old. Younger kids may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Parents or guardians are welcome to attend the workshop with their children.

By the end of the workshop, kids will have created their own Scratch projects that they can share with their friends and family. They will also have gained a foundation in programming concepts that can be applied to other programming languages in the future.
