Introduction to Arduino Programming

In this workshop, junior students in grades 3-5 will learn the basics of programming and electronics through the popular microcontroller platform, Arduino. Students will work with a variety of sensors, actuators, and other electronic components, and learn how to program the Arduino to interact with and control them. They will gain experience with fundamental concepts such as digital and analog inputs and outputs, pulse width modulation, and more. By the end of the workshop, students will have the skills and knowledge to create their own projects and prototypes using Arduino.

Requirements:

• A laptop or desktop computer with a USB port and the ability to connect to the internet
• No prior programming or electronics experience required

Eligibility:

• Open to junior students in grades 3-5

• Day 1: Introduction to Arduino and Electronics 
• Day 2-4: Learning Arduino Programming Basics 
• Day 5-7: Working with Sensors and Actuators 
• Day 8-10: Advanced Programming and Project Development 
• Day 11-12: Project Building and Troubleshooting 
• Day 13-14: Final Projects and Presentation
