3D Game Development with Unreal Engine

In this 14-day workshop, students will learn how to create 3D games using the powerful game engine, Unreal Engine. They will learn about the basics of game development, including level design, scripting, physics, and AI. They will also learn how to use the Blueprint visual scripting system, which allows them to create complex gameplay mechanics without the need for coding. By the end of the workshop, students will have created their own fully functional 3D game and will have a strong understanding of the game development process.

Eligibility: This workshop is open to super seniors in grades 9-12.

Requirements: Students should have a basic understanding of game design and programming concepts. Prior experience with any programming language is recommended but not required.

What students will gain: By the end of the workshop, students will have gained a solid understanding of game development principles, including level design, scripting, physics, and AI. They will have learned how to use the Blueprint visual scripting system and will have created their own fully functional 3D game. Students will also have the opportunity to showcase their game to their peers and receive feedback on their work.
